Beaverton Member Wins Statewide Classified Employees Week Theme Contest

The first week of March is our time to shine, classified! That's when Oregon celebrates us for Classified School Employees Week (CEW) – March 2-6 in 2026. OSEA's annual tradition is to run a theme contest for members to pick the way our union will honor classified for the week. This year's winner is Beaverton Chapter 48's own Anya Janik a Para III at the ACE program. Her theme "Classified Employees Pave Pathways to Student Success" will be this year's Classified Employees Week theme. Congratulations Anya!

Protect Education Funding by Using Your Voice!

This year's short Legislative Session is heating up and it's time to raise our voices! Oregon is facing a budget battle this year, mostly caused by changes made in Washington, D.C. In order to protect funding for essential services like education, we need to partially disconnect from the federal tax code. We've got a budget hole and we can fill it, we just need legislators to vote to start shoveling. Senate Bill (SB) 1507 will create tax credits for people like us while closing tax loopholes that benefit big corporations to generate a net $311.6 million for the state's 2026-27 budget. We've created a simple message to send to your legislators – click the button below to speak out in support of education funding.
